    I’m missing travelling. Rolling out my mat on th I’m missing travelling. Rolling out my mat on the beach in Portugal, the Airbnb in Italy, the car park in Thailand. One of my favourite things about yoga is that you can roll out your mat anywhere, do some yoga.. and end up being home. Where are you planning to go once restrictions are lifted? For me, it’s Bali!
    I’ve shifted my attention from yoga to weight li I’ve shifted my attention from yoga to weight lifting over the last week. Feeling really stiff from it so definitely need to get back on yoga! Before I attempted yoga, I was obsessed with the gym and my health. We’re talking twice a day visits, no alcohol, protein meals, early nights, detox juicing. I was incredibly strong and healthy, but I practically had no social life as I spent all my time in the gym! Yoga brought balance to my life. It made me see the need to enjoy life, not obsess over things, relax more and let goooo ⭐️ Has anyone else experienced this? It’s so easy to get obsessed with working out 🏋️‍♂️

    At the moment I’m finding life quite hard to nav At the moment I’m finding life quite hard to navigate. Another lockdown is looming over us. These darker, shorter days are intimidating. Some days I miss sun light all together. Thank god for yoga!! Does anyone else let out a large sigh of relief when they get on their mat?! 🧘🏼‍♀️ From today, I’m making a promise to myself to go outside every single day. Sunlight is sooooo important ☀️

I struggled to hold downward facing dogs and other ‘resting’ poses. My wrists were weak and my arms would wobble.     Did you know that the dynamic yoga asanas and flow Did you know that the dynamic yoga asanas and flows that we see today were created in preparation for simply sitting in a seated lotus position for hours and even days on end to meditate? It’s amazing to think that these physically challenging poses are all done with an end goal of just sitting. Something so simple, but so challenging for a prolonged period of time. I don’t know about you but after 20 minutes of being seated, I get very fidgety, lower back pain, neck ache, I want to stretch my legs and the list goes in! This is why my body and mind needs yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️🌸

    When I’m not on my mat, I’m on my board 🤟🏼 I picked this long board up in Portugal for €15! It was ready to be thrown away. I rescued it and had months of fun learning how to surf on it. I assumed that I would be a pro at surfing because I was practicing yoga and balance on a daily basis. That absolutely was not the reality 😂 I struggled to stay on the board for longer than 20 seconds. I love the challenge of a new sport or hobby so kept at it!🏄‍♀️ Have you tried surfing yet? 😁
